Shaftesbury is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people with complex needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities and those experiencing homelessness. Established in 1976, Shaftesbury delivers a wide range of services, including supported housing, floating support and community-based programmes, with a focus on promoting independence, inclusion and recovery.

Having now been a Jobtrain client for a number of years, Shaftesbury implemented our applicant tracking system to improve recruitment efficiency and compliance. Their objectives included meeting Equal Opportunities Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI) reporting requirements, introducing user-specific visibility controls and using shortlisting functionality. They also aimed to develop flexible recruitment workflows, automate processes, reduce reliance on HR teams and empower hiring managers to manage more of the recruitment process directly.
