Established in 1966 by Kenneth Newton Wright, the parent of a disabled child, MacIntyre has grown to become a leading national charity, highly respected and committed to setting standards and increasing choice. MacIntyre provide learning, support and care for more than 1,200 children, young people and adults who have a learning disability and/or autism at locations across England and Wales.

Over 82% of MacIntyre’s services registered with the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales (the independent regulators of all health and social care services in England and Wales) have been rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’. Head office is based in central Milton Keynes.
