At Jobtrain, we believe that artificial intelligence (AI) should make recruitment fairer, faster and more transparent – never replace human judgement.
Our approach to AI is simple: we design assistive tools that help recruiters save time, improve inclusivity and reduce bias, while ensuring that people always remain in control of hiring decisions.
Our principles
- Fairness and transparency – AI supports objective processes but never makes final hiring decisions.
- Human-led decisions – Recruiters are always in control, with AI providing support, not conclusions.
- Candidate trust – Applicants know how their data is used, retain control over it and can request changes or deletion at any time.
- Compliance and security – We align with GDPR, UK regulatory guidance and emerging international standards such as the EU AI Act.
How we use AI
Jobtrain includes a range of AI-powered features designed to assist, not replace, recruiters:
- Bias-checked job advert generator – helps write inclusive adverts, reducing unintentional bias.
- AI image generation – for careers sites, adverts and social media posts.
- Candidate search and matching – suggests possible matches between the candidate database and job vacancies. Recruiters always review and decide.
- AI question generator for assessments – creates structured, role-specific interview and assessment questions.
All AI features are fully transparent, auditable, optional and explainable.
What we don’t do
- We do not use AI to make recruitment decisions.
- We do not use candidate data to train AI models.
- We do not screen out candidates based on protected characteristics.
Our commitment
We regularly review AI regulations and guidance from the ICO, EHRC and EU. We conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and provide clients with compliance guidance. As standards evolve, we will continue to update our platform and practices to keep Jobtrain safe, transparent and effective.
AI in Jobtrain helps you work smarter and fairer — with people always at the heart of every decision.
